In this week’s episode of Askana the troupe is taken aback by the state of affairs in which the girl child and the women are enduring the pangs of a dilapidated economy. Although there is a celebration of the woman through the erected statue of Mbuya Nehanda, we see the girl child suffering in abuse and in child marriages.
